Who we are

MumbleBee is developed by Rustam Guseynov, an independent developer based in the Netherlands. Questions or requests: support@mumblebee.app.

What we collect and why

• Account: your email address and a password, used to sign you in and keep your library private.
• Children's profiles you create: a name, an optional birthdate, an optional photo and a color, used to organize memories per child and show how old the child was at the time of each memory.
• Memories you save: words and phrases, optional context notes, dates, favorite marks, and audio recordings, including recordings of your children's voices. Storing these is the purpose of the app.
• Growth entries you add: optional weight and height measurements with dates.

We do not collect location, contacts, advertising identifiers or behavioral analytics. Small preferences (for example, whether to show age tags) are stored on your device only.

Children's privacy

MumbleBee is an app for parents and guardians. Children do not use the app, and we never collect information directly from a child. All information about a child is entered and controlled by the parent, who can edit or delete it at any time.

Where your data is stored

Your data is stored with Supabase (our database, authentication and file storage provider) on servers in the European Union (Frankfurt). Recordings and photos are kept in private storage that only your signed-in account can access. The optional family page (see below) is served by Google Firebase Hosting. Like any hosting provider, these services keep standard technical logs, such as IP addresses, to operate their infrastructure.

Family sharing (only if you turn it on)

If you create a family link in Settings, the app publishes a read-only web page with your children's names, words and trimmed audio clips. Anyone who has the link can view and listen, so share it only with people you trust. The link is a long, unguessable address and is not listed or indexed anywhere. You can turn sharing off in Settings at any time; this immediately deletes the page and its content.

What we never do

• We never sell or rent your data.
• We show no advertising and use no third-party trackers.
• We apply no AI processing to your recordings: no transcription, no voice analysis, no model training.

Your rights and controls

• Export: Settings, "Export my data" downloads everything (all recordings and words) as one file.
• Deletion: you can delete any memory, any child, or your entire account in the app. Account deletion permanently removes your account, all children, all memories, all recordings and the family page, immediately and irreversibly.
• Correction: everything is editable in the app.
• For EU residents, these controls cover the GDPR rights of access, portability, rectification and erasure. For anything else, contact us by email.

Security

All traffic is encrypted (HTTPS/TLS). Data access is protected by row-level security, which means your account can only read its own records. Recordings are kept in private storage and served through short-lived signed links.

Changes

If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we will update this page and the effective date above.
