MumbleBee Terms of Service

Effective date: 31 July 2026

1. About these terms

These terms govern your use of the MumbleBee mobile application and the related services (together, the "Service"). The Service is operated by Rustam Guseynov, an independent developer based in the Netherlands ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Contact: support@mumblebee.app.

2. The Service

MumbleBee lets parents and guardians save words and phrases spoken by their children, as text entries or short audio recordings, organize them by child, and optionally publish a private, read-only web page for family members.

3. Accounts and eligibility

4. Your content

All content you save in the Service (recordings, text entries, notes, photos and measurements) remains yours. You grant us only the limited license necessary to store your content, process it for the operation of the Service, display it back to you and, if you enable family sharing, deliver it to holders of your family link. We do not sell your content, do not use it for advertising and do not use it to train AI systems. You can export or delete your content at any time from the app's settings.

5. Recording responsibly

6. Family sharing

If you enable family sharing, the Service publishes a read-only web page containing your children's names, saved words and trimmed audio. Anyone who has the link can view and listen to this page. You are responsible for choosing whom you share the link with. You can disable sharing at any time in the app's settings, which removes the page immediately.

7. Acceptable use

8. Paid features

Parts of the Service are free and some features may require a paid subscription, purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play. The current prices and what they include are always shown in the app before any purchase. Subscriptions renew, are managed and are cancelled through your store account, under the store's terms. If a feature moves from free to paid, we will give clear notice in advance, and your content always remains accessible for export regardless of subscription status.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time in the app's settings. Account deletion permanently removes your data as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate the Service or an account for violation of these terms; where reasonably possible, we will give notice so that you can export your data first.

10. Disclaimers and liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. We take reasonable measures to protect your data, including encrypted transport, access controls and regular database backups, and the app provides a full data export so that you can keep your own copies. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claims arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the twelve months preceding the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights granted to you by mandatory consumer protection law.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is always available at this address, with its effective date shown above. We will announce significant changes in the app.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands.
